and so it goes…
- Post-holiday child scheduling had the boys with their madre for a week and tonight begins a week with Ken, with us. I can’t overstate how good it is to see them after that long. Our normal schedule is closer to 50+/50 and after this week we will be back to that version of reality.
- Aside from hanging out with das kinders, the highlights of my day were (1) the pink sky sunset as I drove south on 280 and (2) cooking dinner. The sky was a welcome relief from a day full of ughwork. Cooking gets me into a little zenplace where I like my cabesa to be. Om.
- Last week I had one of those manic “I have nothing to wear!” moments. Those moments can be so soul-crushing, but this time I got over it fairly quickly because tick tock. I ended up wearing a rather uninspired and drab outfit, not something that was unique or really “me”. Those adjectives, unspired and drab, describe the majority of my professional clothing. Oh, and cheap, my clothes are cheap because I am cheap. STACY AND CLINTON SAVE ME! Long story short, I just spent a bunch of money on new clothes yay. Dress for the corner office you have because you already have the office you want?
- This weekend I spent much time sorting my worldy possessions into boxes, in preparation for moving in with Ken and the boys. I threw away four bags of uselessness, and have half-filled a mondo donate box. We had the occasion this weekend to join a neighborhood Facebook-like thing and for the first time there was a reason to list eachother as Spouse/Partner. That felt really awesome.
- I’m ready for baseball.
