Christians in this country are not oppressed. I know it’s a cute little narrative that the Christian right likes to throw around when people try to teach things like, uh, science, in schools, but Christians are the dominant religion in this country. As someone who doesn’t believe there is a God (or any god) and is subject to proselytizing and judgement for my beliefs, I don’t have to apologize for the fact that the over-the-top God shit annoys me. He’s annoying. Period.
